KNITWEAR DESIGNER - CONFIDENTIAL

We are looking for a creative and ambitious Knitwear Designer to join the design team of an established fashion brand with a strong heritage and a distinctive point of view.

This is a role for someone who combines strong creative and technical skills with a sharp commercial understanding. Someone who knows how to translate a strong design perspective into products that people want to wear, buy and come back to.  Someone who understands what makes a brand recognisable, but is equally excited by the question of where it can go next.

With knitwear at the heart of the role, you will contribute to the development of collections from concept to finished product working across yarns, textures, techniques, colour and silhouette, while helping shape a more contemporary expression of the brand. You will work as part of a small, close-knit team, giving you the opportunity to take real ownership, collaborate closely across the business and have a visible impact on the direction of the collection.

- Develop knitwear concepts and collections from initial idea through to final product

- Explore new yarns, techniques, constructions, textures and silhouettes

- Contribute to the wider creative and conceptual direction of primarily womenswear

-  Reinterpret and evolve established product signatures in new and relevant ways

- Identify opportunities to introduce fresh categories, products and expressions

- Bring insights from fashion, culture and emerging aesthetics into the collection

- Work closely with suppliers to turn ideas into exceptional, commercially relevant products

- Highly skilled and genuinely passionate about knitwear

 - Conceptually strong, with a distinctive visual perspective

-  Commercially minded, with a clear understanding of product and customer

 - Curious about how fashion and culture are evolving
